letter to the grade 4s of 2020!

Dear grade 4s of 2020,

Welcome to the senior primary grade 4s! You will have a lovely time here, I promise. I had so much fun at the senior primary, although I think I did drive my teachers a little insane now and then. WE had a production his yea called Bugsy Malone, it was really fun, you'll probably be doing a production next aswell. We had camps, outings, tours, and many more fun activieties, one of my favorites was when we  went to grade % camp, I had so much fun there,

digital footprints

Recently in class we have learned about digital footprints.

Why is a digital footprint important?

It’s important that you are aware of this because this is crucial to what kind of job you have in the future. Your future boss will end up looking up your name on google to see if you have a good record and if he sees that you don't you most likely won't get the job if you have a good footprint he will hire you for sure!

what is a digital footprint?

A digital footprint is the footprint that yo leave after you have been on the internet.

Email Etiquette

Today we had a lesson on email etiquette. We learnt that we have to show respect to the adults that we write emails to. I learnt how to use a solution in an email as a title , to give a specific subject , to keep it to the point , be professional and use proper English and not slang words and last but not least I learnt to sign off an email and to always get it proofread by an adult. My favorite thing about this was probably when we had to fix the google slide and make sure that we knew all the right and wrong things to do when writing an email!

superhero blog post

A couple of weeks ago we did a superhero stop-motion ILT. It was super fun and I enjoyed it very much, parsley being the fact that i was in a group with my best friend, Cheyne. we decided to make a villain because our teacher gave us the choice to. we had loads of fun making the Plasticine model of our villain, we had quite an array of difficulties, one of witch was the neck, it kinda looked like a giraffe. your probably wondering 'whats our superheros name?' its 'vampolitios!' Its most likely not a real word and all but we had a very clear idea of what we wanted our stop-motion to look like from the very begging! it was clear that we wanted her to be an evil vampire girl! and that she was going to win in the fight between her and the superhero!

In all honesty the ILT was amazingly fun, that might sound like a lie but its not, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience from the begging to the very end! we first had to make our story line, that wasn't my favorite part because there was a lot of drawing and i got bored.., then we had to do the dialog, it was fun-ish, then we had to do the Plasticine model, we had a lot of laughs it was the best part, and then the filming and voice over, it took awhile but we got the job done! in the overall experience it was a super cool task to do and if i had the option i would to it again!

poetry ILT week!

Poetry, Poetry is made by someone who is called a poet and they write all the famous poetry you see today The word poetry can’t be defined it some what has a mind of its own and you can't control what it says, sometimes you might be trying to write a poem about a chicken and it comes out like you're writing about a dog! Today i’ll be sharing about my experience about the poetry ILT week we had 2 weeks ago, the group i had was ok-ish. I didn't hate it but i also didn't love it. Day one we had to to a terminology task where we had to search 13 words and put them and all the meanings of the words on a slide show. Day two we had to do 4 poems between our group and it went surprisingly well. Day 3 we had to analyse a poem with our friend. Day 4 we had to do a imagery and had to read a specific poem and draw what we felt inside and then try to explain what we drew. Blackout poetry was one of my favorite because i loved how challenging it was, we had to get a page from a book from our teachers and then circle words on the page and make a poetry! On Friday we had to have done a poetry slam that we had to prepare with our groups one poem that we all had to share and that wasn't my favorite task that I've ever done. The very last poetry ILT task was the self image task. Some new things that I've learned in the time of this poetry ILT Week are i learned that i can write a limerick poem and some new vocab that i learned, are; imagery and terminology.

Wonder precepts

Wonder Precepts

In class we have been reading the book wonder. We have gotten to the part when they talk about precepts. I am going to explain to you what a precept is.Google says that a precept is
"a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought."
basically what  that means is that it's a rule or quote intended to change the way people act. A precept that I personally enjoy is, kindness a language that blind people can see and deaf people can hear, I truly do love this quote! The reason I do is because of how meaningful this statement is!

My Puppy

My tiny little puppy resting on my lap.
I stroke her back as she closes her eyes.
"Good night my little puppy."
I respond to her quiet snores,
as she accesses her dreams in her mind!

Endangered animal research project

Hi My name is Jamie. I chose the Blue Whale because it is my favorite sea animal.

Did you now that a Blue Whale is 30 meters tall.

Did you also now that a Blue Whale weighs 190 tons.

A Blue Whale is a blueish-grey and sometimes it has white or black spots.

Blue Whale's eat krill and they eat up to 40 million krill a day.

Blue Whale's live up to 80 years.

A Blue Whale lives all over the oceans.

Blue Whale's are endangered because of whaling.
